Programs

Resume, Cover Letter, and Interview Skills
The Resume Writing and Cover Letter Preparation program is primarily targeted toward high school juniors and seniors, however since it has become more and more imperative that students start early building a resume, we see our classes filled with all grade levels. This is EMY,s signature program, designed to guide students through creating their own resumes and cover letters, as well as successfully navigating the interview process.

EMY walks students step by step through:

       • Resume development
       • Cover letter writing
       • Interview preparation and strategies

Soft Skills and workplace readiness

We focus on how students present themselves in professional environments—from attitude and communication to appearance and etiquette.

This group will soon be entering collage and the workforce and will need the basics: a strong resume, an effective cover letter, and confident interviewing skills.

While schools cover many important topics within limited timeframes, EMY, Inc. has recognized
that many students graduate from high school without knowing how to prepare a resume, why a cover letter is necessary, or how to answer interview questions strategically . In todays digital age, many students also lack office etiquette and essential soft skills.

An even greater challenge is helping students clearly articulate their work, volunteer, and school experiences on a resume. Every activity provides valuable learning, and employers need to see that. At EMY, we call this "Telling Your Story," because a resume is simply the story of who you are—and you must be able to explain everything you include
EMY, Inc. believes all students can benefit from this program. We are especially focused on serving lower-income communities, high Title I schools, and alternative schools.
Mentoring
EMY, Inc. recognizes that youth pursue many different paths after high school. Some teens go directly to collage, others enter the military, and some transition straight into the workforce. Regardless of the path they choose, EMY's Mentoring Program provides students with the opportunity to work directly with successful entrepreneurs. Through these relationships, students gain insight into valuable competencies needed for their chosen careers while exploring their inner strengths and discovering their purpose in life.

Festival Fundrasing
EMY, Inc.  offers its programs free of charge to schools and youth organizations. We provide all program materials, T-shirts, gift bags, and staff at no cost.
To support our mission, EMY raises funds through music festival concessions. We partner with music festivals organizers to staff concession stands during multi-day events, earning a percentage of the sales generated. Our dedicated team of professionals travels with EMY to festival locations across the United States to support these efforts. No festival is to far, and our team commits to working two to three days at each event.
Our goal is to continue using music festival partnerships as our primary fundraising strategy, allowing us to sustain and expand our programs for schools across the state
